Work
I have spent the last decade building web applications across healthcare, government, startups, and property management—usually on both sides of the stack. I care about code quality, the right tools for the job, and teams that can ship without burning out.
Today I lead frontend modernization at BuildingLink, where we are replacing a legacy monolith with Vue.js, .NET Core, and a micro-frontend platform used by millions of residents and staff in dozens of countries. Before that, I worked on national health insurance systems in the Dominican Republic, an AI epidemiology project in California, and government intranet platforms. I studied Computer Engineering at PUCMM in Santo Domingo.
I joined BuildingLink as a frontend consultant when the company was ready to modernize its management portal but still running on a large legacy stack. My first job was to prove that Vue.js could work for real product modules—not just a demo—and to ship the first module on the new architecture. That proof of concept became the foundation for everything that followed.
What started as a single-team experiment grew into a platform-wide transformation. I now lead teams modernizing BuildingLink for 2M+ users across 27 countries: Vue.js and .NET Core on the stack, single-spa for micro-frontends, TypeScript and Tailwind for consistency, and a testing strategy that spans unit and E2E coverage. We set code standards and patterns so new modules do not reinvent the wheel.
A big part of the work is making delivery predictable. We streamlined CI/CD with TeamCity and GitHub Actions and cut pipeline completion time by more than 65%, which means faster, safer releases for a product that property managers rely on every day.
SeNaSa is the Dominican national health insurance system—millions of affiliates depend on its digital services. I built and maintained web applications that improved the experience for those users while also shipping internal tools for operations teams.
I led RESTful API work for the company’s mobile app and CRM, migrated core legacy applications to ASP.NET MVC 5, and stood up the first CI/CD pipelines with Azure Pipelines. The reliability gains from that migration and automation work were measurable; the team recognized it with the 2016 Employee of the Year award in IT.
AIME builds AI tools for public health. On a part-time contract I designed and developed a web application to analyze and predict Dengue outbreaks in developing countries, reaching about 86% predictive accuracy so healthcare organizations could prepare ahead of epidemics.
I modeled data with Entity Framework Code First, optimized schemas for large training datasets, and integrated AWS S3 for secure storage of mobile app files—my first deep exposure to shipping ML-backed products end to end.
At MAPRE I built internal web applications for multiple government departments, replacing manual workflows with software people actually used. I also implemented the institution’s intranet on SharePoint and ASP.NET, centralizing processes and making collaboration across departments easier.
It was early-career work, but it taught me how to translate vague requirements from non-technical stakeholders into maintainable systems—and how much impact good internal tools can have.
